Whereas if you're focused on stacks, you have to put your vacuum points at ground level which ensures very poor lines-of-sight and fewer enemies get pulled in. It takes some skill to grab all the enemies at once, too, and you get to learn level geometry a lot better than you'd imagine, because you're constantly looking at various ceilings and whatnot for spots with the best line-of-sight for the entire tile. That way no one can accuse you of Hallway Heroing (standing by yourself outside of EXP share range, forcing enemy spawns away from everyone else) and you get to blow stuff up, which really is its own reward. The best way to play it is to build for max range (Overextended/Stretch/Augur Reach) and grab all the enemies into a ball and shoot them with something that blows up real good. Am I missing anything with this frame? Seems. I find myself not really using weapons that much with it, just spamming 2->1 combos and waiting for stacks to build, then sitting around in my field of dreams. It seems like a really lazy frame to play. I've been kind of enamored with Nidus for the last week. I'm more surprised how many things I continue to find, like archwings/sentinels that I passed over (100k was a lot back in the day!). MR items are beginning to become considerably harder to get, so I expect to slow down around MR 24. I need so many archwing weapon parts from other syndicates still though. Gonna just have to buy some which is sad when at one point I had 30+. I intend to forma my Imperator Vandal but my forma supplies are running low. It's not awful, but I totally don't feel like I can delete things like you need to. I've realized my Rhino / Volt / Trinity need more forma for ESO. I need a few forma in it though, crit/multishot mods are expensive. Getting the proc for the dual-wield is great fun. Sparkfizt, I picked up the Pyrana Prime and it really is fun to use. Will finally be able to start getting parts for those new three corpus weapons in the dojo. and I'm 2k rep (daily capped) from Old Mate with SU. ![]() Some low-hanging MR fruit there for sure. So I didn't realize that I never leveled the Diriga and Wyrm. Grattler is a pain in the butt for Oxium, that's all I know. It'll work, sometimes, but it won't update and generally be a trainwreck without backing out of the display. And don't try to put forma into something via the heavy weapon slot. If you have Velocitus in archwing and Corvas in heavy, the Corvas will display archwing stats, not heavy ones, afaict. If you're not careful, Corvas is a safe choice.Įdit: correct stats only show up on your vehicles stat sheet if you have the same weapon equipped in both the archwing and heavy weapon slots. TLDR: If you don't have Imperator Vandal, if you're careful, Grattler is even better. OTOH, there's no punch through which is a major hindrance on a weapon this size and the fact that it doesn't have it undermines the fact that it's supposedly a giant, overpowering weapon that will knock you on your ass. It's also fun for random ground missions. Unlike velocitus, you don't feel bad firing it without charging as you can get more DPS off with quick pulls and you won't immediately run out of ammo. Like Velocitus, a full charge will basically knock you on your ass. Until you pull it out on the ground, in which case it has the best crit of any weapon in Warframe. *Corvas, the giant space shotgun, isn't a crit weapon. It'll probably be a good gun to have forma'd if there's ever new archwing content though. ![]() what you get in Archwing mode, where you can basically use it in semi-auto mode and be happy. And the ammo pool is massively constrained vs. And if you do charge, you'll basically stagger yourself for a few seconds. It gets more of a debuff in atmospheric mode than a buff, contrary to other weapons, and you lose a lot of damage potential if you don't charge. *Velocitus has long been the king of the single shot. It's fun as hell, and it's the best weapon to pull out on Hydron to wow noobs, but there are enough drawbacks that this will never be my default choice despite technically being the best. With grattler, everything that can go wrong often will. And there are the times that the spider will randomly put a leg in front of your face and you'll kill yourself. For example, it's very difficult to shoot a pylon without killing yourself, so you have to melee them or put the gun away. ![]() It gets a lot better with Chroma and Corrosive Projection, but it's always good enough and it's never goddamn annoying unless you're trying to solo the spider or something, in which case you might run out of ammo. *Imperator Vandal is probably the best choice for atmospheric use. Bought a booster and went nuts forma'ing archwing weapons so you don't have to:
